Bit Hire

Hire Period
• Bits will automatically be issued with a hire period is 14 days from the date of fitting or delivery (Polymer, Plastic, Rubber and leather bits are exempt from this, due to hygiene reasons)
• You will have a further 7 days (including weekends and Bank holidays) to return the bit

Deposit
• A deposit equal to the full value of the bit is required before hire
• Deposit will be refunded upon return (minus hire fee), or used towards purchase

Hire Fees

Up to £50 – £5

Up to £100 – £10

Up to £150 – £15

Up to £200 – £20

Up to £250 – £25

Up to £300 – £30

Condition of Bit
• Bits must be returned clean and in the same condition

• Bits that are damaged or have excessive wear upon return will be sent back to you with an additional postage fee of £4.95.  Loss will be charged at full replacement cost.

Use of Bit
• The bit must only be used on the agreed horse
• Incorrect use, modification, or misuse voids the hire agreement

Hygiene
• All bits are disinfected between hires
• Clients must return bits clean and washed (a cleaning fee will be incurred of £5 if bits arrive back not clean)

Purchase Option
• If you decide to keep the bit there will be no additional hire fees.

Non-Return
• Failure to return the bit after 21 days will result in deposit being retained as full payment

Liability
• The Saddle Barn Ltd accepts no liability for injury, damage, or misuse once the bit is in the client’s possession
